Illuminated Volvo Display Platforms – Premium Nordic Cars Iași

MAGNIUS designed and manufactured three relocatable illuminated platforms for the vehicles displayed at the Volvo Premium Nordic Cars Iași showroom. The solution was developed specifically for presenting Volvo models in a clean environment appropriate for a premium automotive showroom.

The complete system — technical concept, design, modular division, finishing, lighting integration and installation — was developed and delivered by MAGNIUS.

Three custom platforms for the showroom

The project comprises three individual platforms supporting the displayed vehicles. Their dimensions and shapes were adapted to showroom use, with discreet outlines, rounded corners and sufficient surface area for each vehicle.

The platforms visually define each display without adding unnecessary visual weight. Their white finish and restrained geometry keep the vehicle at the centre of the composition.

Modular MDF construction in six components

Each platform is manufactured from MDF and divided into six components. This construction was developed to make the large assembly practical to manufacture, handle, transport and install.

The sections are joined precisely and the connection areas are concealed so that, once installed, the platform appears as one continuous surface.

Glossy plastic visible surface

The visible face is finished with a glossy plastic material. Its surface subtly reflects the vehicle and the showroom lighting, supporting the clean appearance of the installation.

The continuous finish and discreet joints preserve the visual impression of a single object even though the system is made from several removable components.

Perimeter lighting and a floating visual effect

Integrated lighting follows the platform perimeter and visually separates the assembly from the showroom floor. The illuminated outline emphasises the platform shape and creates the impression that the vehicle is floating above the floor.

The effect remains visible from several directions and highlights the vehicle without introducing decorative features that compete with its design.

Dismantlable, relocatable and reusable

The vehicle can be removed from the platform, after which the six components can be dismantled and prepared for transport. Each system can be moved to another area of the showroom or relocated to a different display space.

The modular construction allows the platforms to be reused for different vehicle models or future campaigns, preserving the investment in a repeat-use display system.

Integrated design and production

The platforms required several coordinated MAGNIUS capabilities: technical design, cutting and machining of the MDF components, joint preparation, application of the glossy surface, lighting integration and final installation.
