Illuminated & 3D Letter Pricing in 2026: What Drives Cost
There is no useful universal price per letter that applies to every dimensional-signage project. A small interior acrylic logo and a large exterior illuminated channel-letter set may share the same category name while requiring completely different materials, labour, structure and installation.
Size is only one cost factor
Overall height matters, but stroke width, number of characters, geometry and total material area can affect production more than a single nominal dimension.
Construction and materials
Non-illuminated PVC or acrylic letters, built-up aluminium letters, metal finishes and illuminated channel letters require different production stages. Acrylic grade, returns, backing, paint systems and supporting structures all influence cost.
LED and electrical components
Illuminated letters add modules, power supplies, wiring, testing and access requirements. Shallow or difficult geometries can require more careful optical design rather than simply fewer components.
Installation can change the project significantly
A ground-floor interior wall, a shop fascia and a high façade have very different access, anchoring, lifting and electrical requirements. Survey and mounting conditions therefore need to be known before a responsible quotation is prepared.
Quantity and multi-location projects
Series production can improve repeatability and spread setup time, but rollout projects also add packaging, logistics, site variation and coordination. The most useful quotation is based on drawings, dimensions, location photographs and the required finish.
