MEDRA Skin Signage – Illuminated Letters for a Clinic

MEDRA Skin Signage – Illuminated Letters for a Clinic

For the MEDRA Skin clinic in Iași, MAGNIUS produced exterior and interior signage elements conceived as a coherent visual system from the first contact with the façade through to the clinic interior.

The component documented in technical detail is the exterior sign: an aluminium composite panel finished in the brand colour and carrying illuminated dimensional letters. The solution combines daytime contrast with illuminated identification after dark.

Clinic signage: visibility and consistency

In a medical environment, signage needs to identify the location clearly and support an ordered, professional image. Exterior elements attract attention and confirm the entrance, while interior signage continues the same identity throughout the patient experience.

Dimensions, contrast and positioning are evaluated around reading distance and the architecture of the building. An element that is too small may be difficult to notice, while an oversized sign may lose its relationship with the façade.

Exterior aluminium composite panel

The MEDRA Skin sign uses an aluminium composite background in the brand colour. The panel provides a flat surface for mounting the letters and allows the complete assembly to integrate with the façade area.

During production, panel format, joints, edges and fixing points have to be coordinated with the supporting structure and the position of every letter. Visible finishes must be protected during processing, transport and installation.

Illuminated dimensional letters with acrylic faces

The letters have white acrylic faces, which diffuse the light while preserving the legibility of the shapes. Their returns are manufactured from powder-coated aluminium, and illumination is provided by LED modules.

The combination of white faces, metal returns and internal lighting allows the identity to remain readable during the day and in the evening. Explore other illuminated channel letter and 3D sign constructions.

LED illumination and face uniformity

Within an illuminated letter, LED layout, body depth and distance to the acrylic face need to be coordinated to reduce visible hotspots and uneven intensity. Power supplies and cabling are organised for the electrical and service conditions defined for the site.

Before installation, the letters and circuits should be tested, while their positions are transferred to the panel using a template or production-documentation references.

Interior signage following the same identity

The source page also confirms interior signage but does not document each component separately. We therefore do not attribute unverified products or materials to the project. The confirmed role of this part of the scope is to continue the MEDRA Skin identity coherently inside the clinic.

In medical spaces, information needs to be structured clearly and the position of signage aligned with access and circulation routes.

Integrating the sign with the façade

The panel, letters, lighting and fixing system were treated as one assembly. This coordination reduces improvisation on site and makes it possible to check alignment and power requirements before installation.
